Nuna is a chatbot-based mental health app built on methods like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Mindfulness-based CBT, and Positive Psychology. Nuna helps you track your mood and gives you relevant and easily applicable tools on how to hack your thought patterns and improve your mental wellbeing.
Our psychologists are also teaching Nuna many of the best tools that are out there, to help you become the most awesome version of yourself and to coach you through life. If she feels that you are a bit tense, then maybe she’ll suggest (and guide you) through a breathing exercise and so on.
But YOU are the decision-maker here, Nuna only suggests what could help you move forward in the given situation. In Nuna’s quest to help you feel better and function as good as you possibly can – she’ll show you a bunch of different helpful tools. Explore these with Nuna and discover the ones that help you 🙂
Speaking about what Nuna is, it is also important to state what Nuna is NOT. Nuna is not a substitution of the good old in-person relationship or a psychologist. It’s more like an addition in between.
How does it work?
Nuna helps you track your daily mood and learn more about yourself. Nuna asks you how you’re doing in the brief daily conversations. By checking in with yourself like this, you’ll not only be able to find patterns in your mood but also map out the things that make you feel good – and not so good. You’ll also get useful and relevant therapeutic tools that can help you better manage the given situation you’re in.
When will I see the benefits?
Many people experience advantages of using Nuna on a daily basis and even on the very first day:

What is CBT?
CBT is an abbreviation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is one of the most evidence-based and widely used therapeutic approaches in the world.
Verywell Mind defines CBT as:
“A type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps people learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotions.”
So basically CBT is a way to identify thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and replace these with more helpful thoughts.
How can I use Nuna?
In the app, you’ll find the chat, tools and gratitude journal.
The check-ins and brief automated chats help you structure your thoughts and monitor your moods.
The tools help you learn how to apply techniques to feel better drawing from skill-based therapeutic frameworks like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy.
The gratitude journal helps you boost positive thinking and improve overall well-being. Write freely or use the inspirational prompts of the journal that are rooted in practices and science within Positive Psychology.
Is Nuna a replacement for a therapist?
No, not at all. Nuna can never replace real human interaction with a therapist. Nuna uses technology and AI to prompt you with skill-based techniques that help you declutter your mind and take on your day.
Where can I chat with Nuna?
You can chat with Nuna via the app on Android and iOS App Store.
How to setup daily reminders?
Wanna be sure you get the daily reminders? We gotcha!
If you are an iOS user: Go to Settings → Notifications, select the app and make sure that “Allow Notifications” is on.
If you are an Android user: Go to Settings → Apps & Notifications → Notifications → App Notifications → Choose Nuna → Turn on notifications
How do I change my name?
Luckily, it’s quite easy. Just follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the app and go to the main menu in the top right corner
Step 2: Choose “Change your name"
Step 3: Change and update to the name you want – remember to save
Note: Before you are able to do this, you’ll need to complete the first conversation with Nuna.
How do I delete my data?
Want to delete all your data? We got you - it’s your right. Write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “Data deletion request”, then we will securely delete ALL your data.
How do I stop Nuna from messaging me?
Want a break from Nuna? Here’s how.
For iOS users: Go to Settings → Notifications and select the app and make sure that “Allow notifications” is off.
For Android users: Go to Settings → Apps & Notifications → Notifications → App Notifications → Choose Nuna → Turn off notifications
