What is CBT?
CBT is an abbreviation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is one of the most evidence-based and widely used therapeutic approaches in the world.
Verywell Mind defines it as:
“Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps people learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotions.”
So basically CBT is a way to change negative thoughts that contribute to and worsen emotional difficulties as e.g. depression, anxiety and stress. Automatic negative thoughts can have a detrimental influence on your mood and therefore CBT focuses on identifying these thoughts, challenging them and replacing them with more objective and realistic thoughts.

What is Nuna?
Nuna is your online friend that coaches and challenges your way of thinking, so you can be the best version of yourself. She is constantly improved by our team of psychologists and our AI – so every time you interact with Nuna, she gets better.
Our psychologists are also teaching Nuna many of the best tools that are out there, to help you become the most awesome version of yourself and to coach you through life. If she feels that you are a bit tense, then maybe she’ll suggest (and guide you) through a breathing exercise and so on.
But YOU are the decision-maker here, Nuna only suggests what could help you move forward in the given situation. In Nuna’s quest to help you feel better and function as good as you possibly can – she’ll show you a bunch of different helpful tools. Explore these with Nuna and discover the ones that help you 🙂
Speaking about what Nuna is, it is also important to state what Nuna is NOT. Nuna is not a substitution of the good old in-person relationship or a psychologist. It’s more like an addition in between.
How does it work?
Nuna helps you track your daily mood and learn more about yourself. Nuna asks you how you’re doing in the brief daily conversations. By checking in with you every day, you’ll not only be able to find patterns in your mood and map out the things that make you feel good – and not so good. You’ll also get useful and relevant therapeutic tools that can help you function as good as you possibly can in the given situation you’re currently in.
How can I use it?
You can chat with Nuna whenever you feel like it. The brief conversations and the Tool Menu makes it easy for you to hit the “mental gym” in your everyday life. Nuna will also reach out to you every once in a while to hear about your day and how you’re feeling.
When will I see benefits?
Some people will immediately feel the benefits from chatting with Nuna. Even the first chat can give you a sense of care and support that you’ll need to cope with negativity and make positivity louder here and now. But the long term benefits of chatting with Nuna is typically related to the time and energy you spend on learning about the science of well-being and practising the simple tools in your daily life.
How can I give feedback?
Just write us at email@example.com – actually, we would love to get your feedback. It’s the only way we can get better. So don’t hold back and shoot us your feedback no matter if it is positive or negative (but we would love it to be constructive, so we can do something about it though).

How do I delete my data?
Wanna use your right to be forgotten and delete your data? No problemo. If you just write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “Data deletion request”, we will take care of everything and completely delete ALL your data.
How do I stop Nuna from messaging me?
Don’t wanna hear from Nuna anymore? Truly sad, but totally fair!
For iOS users: Go to Settings → Notifications and select the app and make sure that “Allow notifications” is off.
For Android users: Go to Settings → Apps & Notifications → Notifications → App Notifications → Choose Nuna → Turn off notifications
How to set up daily reminders?
